David Abbott Joins Cybera as Senior Vice President of Technology and Engineering

NASHVILLE, TN— March 25, 2009 — Cybera®, a leading managed service provider of security and network solutions, today announced the hire of David Abbott as the company’s Senior Vice President of Technology and Engineering.  Abbott joins Cybera with extensive experience in the development and launch of security and large scale operational systems and processes in managed service settings.

Most recently Abbott was the CIO for the Americas region and served as Deputy CIO for Informa, plc based in London.  Abbott’s major responsibilities and accomplishments included establishing Quality Assurance, Service Delivery, Project Management and Information Security best practices.  Abbott’s main focus was to ensure Informa’s systems and technology were developed, deployed and managed in a manner that enhanced Informa’s operating divisions in meeting their goals.

Prior to Informa, Abbott was CIO and Chief Privacy Officer for Investment Scorecard, Inc.  As the Chief Technologist his contributions helped add $36mm in shareholder wealth in two years.  Previously, he was Deputy Director for the Applications Solutions Group at Deloitte & Touché, where he was responsible for technology solutions supporting the US firma and key service lines such as ERS, Tax, Marketing, Human Capital and Consulting Services.

As Senior Vice President of Technology and Engineering, Abbott’s primary role will be to lead Cybera’s technical innovation and development initiatives and he will report to the company’s President, CEO and Founder Cliff Duffey.
