Private data network provider Cybera Inc. has obtained private debt funding from Commerce Capital LP. The funds will help Nashville-based Cybera expand its presence in the Midwest, the company said in a written statement.
Cybera Chairman Cliff Duffey said the company would use the proceeds to complete the construction of a new national data center in Chicago and expand its sales force into several new markets. The additional sales personnel will primarily be in the Midwest to maximize opportunities in and around the new data center.
Cybera provides fully managed broadband networking services to industries and vertical markets that have been traditionally underserved by large telecommunications companies, the company said.
